Unwanted Pup Born With 6 Legs Finds Home With A Bullied Teen Yearning For A Friend

Roo, an eight-week-old Labrador mix, was named after a ‘kangaroo,’ due to the way she hops around using her hind legs. When she walks, she leans on her elbows together with her bottom within the air.
This is because Roo was born with six legs – two extra within the front – so she features a little trouble getting around sort of a normal dog would.

When Lauren Salmon’s 15-year-old son, Luke, saw Roo advertised by a breeder online, their family knew that they had to possess her. Since she was born with a defect, it’s likely that the breeder would have eventually had her euthanized if she couldn’t find her a home.

When Luke and his mom visited pick her up, she came hopping out of her pen and jumped abreast of her hind legs. She was so happy to ascertain them and that they could tell directly how filled with life she was, despite her defect.

“She’s filled with puppy energy, so we’d describe her as placid but playful. There aren't many dogs like Roo out there,” Salmon told Fox News. “I think the breeders kill them off because they’re not worth anything, but to us she’s priceless.”

Since bringing Roo home, Luke and her are absolutely inseparable. And Luke knows exactly what it’s wish to desire the odd one out. Luke suffers from psoriasis, which leaves his skin covered in red patches, and has been bullied in class due to it.

Now he features a new ally , then does Roo!
In addition to new loving humans, Roo also features a new doggy sibling, along side two cats and two rabbits.

Salmon is now working with Dr. Noel Fitzpatrick to ascertain how they will improve Roo’s mobility. Although her two extra legs hinder her from walking normally, they are doing not cause her any pain.
